Extended techniques for flutes and electronics

Digital creativity has been linked to the contemporary composition for instruments and technological means (laptops, sensors, other devices) in masterclasses held by specialized musicians. This is the case of flutist Antonella Bini, one of the most versatile performer of contemporary music for all the flute family, from piccolo to contrabass.

Bini has been hosted in Cuneo several times for this project, following all the composition process of works realized by student composers of the Cuneo Conservatory, from reading of sketches to recording of sounds to be processed and maquettes of the final results. Bini also gave seminars about several topics related to her instruments: extended techniques, the relationship with electronics, analysis of repertoire pieces written for her.
