Francesco Giomi

Composer and sound director, he has collaborated with Luciano Berio and with other important composers, musicians, choreographers and directors as well as with Italian and foreign orchestras and ensembles. He led the Tempo Reale live electronics team in major theaters and festivals around the world. He has been active for many years as an author of works related to new technologies and as a conductor of creative improvisations. From 2001 to 2011 he collaborated with the choreographer Virgilio Sieni and since 2014 he has been working intensively with the choreographer-dancer Simona Bertozzi. In 2008 he published the book “White noise. Introduction to digital music” for Zanichelli; in 2014 the monographic CD “Con brio-musica acusmatica” was released for the Die Schachtel label. He teaches Electroacoustic Music Composition at the Conservatory of Music of Bologna and is the director of Tempo Reale.
