Extended Acoustic Instruments
Presentation and discussions around Davide Ficco's "Guitar Extended" project
Davide Ficco, guitarist, composer and professor at the Cuneo Conservatory, will present the hybrid musical instrument he has developed. A classical guitar is equipped with piezoelectric hexaphonic and stereophonic pickups, which vibrate various types of programmable mechanical diffusers such as active springs or active circular plates, thus extending the sounds of the guitar itself. This new instrument is the subject of constant research, linked to gesture, electronic processing and the extension of acoustic diffusers.

Discussions and experimentation around the “Extended Violoncelle” project with Nicolas Castagné (Cellist, Researcher, Grenoble-INP)
From the experiences of Davide Ficco and the experience of GENESIS of Claude Cadoz and Nicolas Castagné, of Giuseppe Gavazza and the students of the conservatory of Cuneo, we will discuss the implementation of a new project around another instrument acoustics such as the cello.

Musical creation journey with Hans Peter Stubbe Teglbjaerg,
composer and professor at the Royal Conservatory of Copenhagen (Denmark) will share with us his progress in musical creation with GENESIS, for his composition in progress at ACROE “Anamorphic Circle”
In this piece, Hans Peter Stubbe Teglbjaerg seeks to use the simulation of virtual physical instruments to experience a sound world that is inaudible, but which is nevertheless completely real (virtually), tangible, and tactile.

Friday, December 10 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.,
remotely from the Center for the creation of contemporary music MisoMusicPortugal (Lisbon)
Moment with the composer Miguel Azguime around his creation Route du Sel, electronic opera, video and voice

The Op-Era Itinerary of Salt, a multimedia opera, transcends theatrical and musical conventions.
The reflection on art and madness revolves around languages, words as meaning and words as sound. Both are used as an extension of the body and fused together in the construction of the staging as a tangible projection of the resonance of words through sound and image. Live electronic audio and video processing and broadcasting of voice, poetry, gesture, music and drawing create a polyphony of meaning and a counterpoint of meaning.
The new form of opera implemented in Itinerary of Salt is an engaging and thought-provoking combination of music and theater that breaks down the boundaries between music, theater and opera.
